LATINOS FM commenced its trajectory 15 years ago not only as a dream, to satisfy a growing need to bring forth a solid vibrant voice for the Latin American culture, music and entertainment; bridging the gap between countries, customs, interests and languages.

By fusing different eras of Latino Music, the show appeals to a wide spectrum of people including all ages and many cultural backgrounds; we are particularly proud of having a rapport not only with the Latin community but we also enjoy a huge multicultural following from Australia and beyond.

2000FM reaches an average of 700,000 listeners each week. Extending from the Blue Mountains to Wollongong, the station enjoys a high concentration of listeners located in Central Sydney, the Inner West and Eastern Suburbs.

LATINOS FM is a highly interactive, energetic, upbeat bilingual (Spanish & English) weekly show, broadcasting every Saturday from 5pm 2000 Digital and every Wednesday morning on 98.5fm, with a strategic time frame designed to be the only program of its kind on a Saturday night & Wednesday morning. We bring the flavor of Latin America in a format that Australia and the world can appreciate and enjoy.

The show is divided into different segments covering music, entertainment news, sports, current affairs, cultural events and interactive competitions with our listeners including weekly giveaways and prizes. We have a team of young, motivated and devoted professionals from different parts of Latin America and Australia ensuring the diversity and understanding of both worlds. In order to reach every segments of our audience, the show is divided into three parts:“Urban Music/Reggaeton, “Latin Fusion” with Latin Pop and Classics and salsa “Solo Salsa”. Our dynamic hosts combine their experience in the entertainment industry to create a highly successful and popular show.

Our show is always the first to launch all the latest commercial Latino music hits from Miami, Puerto Rico, North and Latin America combined.
We were the first to play “Whenever Wherever” from Shakira, “Chao Chao” from Buena Vista Social Club, “La Gasolina” from Daddy Yankee, “Lets get loud” and “Que hiciste” from Jenifer Lopez, “La camisa negra” from Juanes, many hits from Ricky Martin such as “Drop it on me” or “Tu recuerdo”, Gotan Project, “La llave de mi Corazon” from Juan Luis Guerra, “Mar y Arena” from Mana.

We feature exclusive interviews with international celebrities such as Shakira, Buena Vista Social Club, Ricky Martin, Chayanne, Carlos Vives, Don Omar, El General and Oscar de Leon, just to mention a few.
However, we do not forget the enormous pool of local talent present in our community, continuously supporting the rising stars of the future and making sure their voices are heard. This is why we also interview politicians, painters, movie directors, actors, social workers and psychologists and many others.


We covered many special events including: The Sydney Film Festival, Fiesta Darling Harbour, The Spanish Film Festival, The South American Festival at Bondi Pavilion, The Latin American Film Festival, The Festival of Vina Del Mar (Chile), concerts (like Ricky Martin, Enrique Iglesias, Chayanne, Elvis Crespo, Fulanito, Oscar de Leon and many more) and The Latin Grammy Awards (USA).


We promote companies like: Ritz hotels, Sony music, Aerolineas Argentinas, Opera House, Luna Park, Homebush Stadium, Universal records, travel agencies, doctors, clubs and venues.


The show was selected as the most popular program on 2ser for 2005.
We were acknowledged by different community and charity organizations such as the Catholic Church and Children With Cancer.
